I noticed in today’s USA Weekend that Dale Earnhardt Jr. has a book titled Driver 8. In addition to being the number on his car, “Driver 8” is also an old R.E.M. song. Coincidence, or connection?
Can’t say for sure, but there’s no coincidence in the alternate title:
