Frankly any moron can keep current with pop culture and be funny/hip about it. There’s a qualitative difference–and the bar’s set much higher through info overload–between selctive, broad perspective and “gotta know/gotta quote” trendy schlock.

I hope it taught you not to expect something you aren’t going to get. If I truly gave a shit about you enough to work up a steam, then yeah, you’re gonna get the full throttled flame.
However, when I don’t know who you are nor do I give a shit one way or another, you get the lethargic, generic, run of the mill, token flame.
When I see you as anything more than background noise, I may put a little more thought and effort into it. Until then, you aren’t worth the effort it takes to whip up something really good.

Well, Redfury, I normally don’t have, but in your case I’ve got a six-year-old that is helping me out so that I can get down to your level of understanding.
Need to learn to work on your codes there, too. You should have lurked a little longer, or at least read the Straight Dope page before you started posting.
I wouldn’t really consider this a debate, and besides the little guy helping me has to leave so anything I’d post to you would be above your understanding after this. So feel free to have the last word. That’s not an important issue to me and you aren’t really worth taking up the bandwidth for at this point in time. Maybe with a little guidance from some other poster that has time for you, you might turn out a decent thought once in a while. It sure hasn’t happened yet.
