Heya there
I hate for this to be my first post, but the board seemed to slow down whenever i tried to post before…but anyway, the singer/bassist for one of my favorite bands, Zero Down, died the other day. Apparently, Jim Cherry died of an OD of “Soma”, a prescription “muscle relaxer” drug…Man, Zero Down only got one album out, and it was f’in awesome. A great career cut short…did any of you know of him? I wouldn’t think many, but…
I didn’t know of him, but its always unfortunate when yet another musician dies of an OD. Anyway, as a fellow newbie I welcome you to SDMB. (Just a friendly aside-- be more descriptive with your thread titles.)

I hadn’t heard of him, ShallowMeans, but you have my sympathies.
You misunderstand. I had no intention of chastising you, ShallowMeans. I just threw it out there because I knew somebody probably would. Your mistake- its not even a mistake so much as a matter of protocol- is quite forgivable.
The reasons for having a descriptive thread title are that more people will enter the thread - and post to it - if they know what the heck it’s about, and it’ll be easier for people who are searching to find what they’re looking for. (In your case, they might be searching for “Zero Down”.)
