Why would a computer come on and then on the internet say it didn’t work and put a little red x over the icon that looks like a letter to be mailed, and then when I bring up Solitaire the cards come up and then a label appears that says that this program has made an ILLEGAL error and I start playing solitaire anyway and the lable keeps coming up and then I turn off the computer and wait a while, turn it on, and everything works fine? What kind of circuits do they build to make computers do things like this, and even weirder things like when you turn a picture vertically on the Paint program it suddenly changes color sometimes and the Paint program when you press invert to invert the color you never know what color is going to come up? I maintain that once a certain level of circuitry is realized, these computers actually have a mind of their own, and it is a mischief mind, possibly aware only of wanting to make mischief, like a child or the subconscious. But people tend to pooh-pooh this theory! Yet the phenomena go on and on to more and more bizarre buffonery.
If your post is any indication of the way that you treat your computer, then I would guess that your computer is trying to commit suicide.

!!!
Thought you could use these.
don willard I don’t think what you’re describing has anything to do with circuits since circuits are the part of the computer that geek-type people refer to as hardware in other words they are the parts of the computer that you can break with a hammer The problems you are experiencing are all related to your software which is what the aforementioned g-t people would call the programs that you are running Lots of problems can happen with software while it is running that causes all kinds of problems with computers The worst thing you can do to your software is act too impatiently around it A key problem with impatient people is that they tend to go on and on and on and on without waiting for anybody or anything around them to catch up get a word in edgewise or finish what they are doing This will cause you problems in daily interactions with humans as well as your interactions with computers You should learn how to tell when your computer is busy doing something don’t just depend on the hourglass or watch icon but learn how to hear the hard drive activity or watch the light
But, then, again, I’m sure you don’t have any of those problems.
as a geek type person, i’ll say this: it isn’t your computer, its the fact that you’re using the wrong software. get a real OS and some decent programs and you won’t have these problems.
It is possessed. Back away from the computer and run away!!!
Actually, not being a computer person, I haven’t a clue what is wrong with your machine. Is your computer under warranty? Do you have any friends who are computer techs? Maybe you could look in the phone book for a repair shop.
You should either:
-
Reboot more often.
-
Install more RAM
-
Make sure you have at least 100 MB free on your system drive (for your swapfile).
-
Quit running so much stuff in your systray (lower right corner of your screen).
-
Install WinNT. (most games won’t work though.)
-
Use punctuation.
