Damn it, Good Morning America!

Al Jazeera English Live stream on the net is the best way I’ve found.

I rather hope that in the next couple days The Daily Show does a piece on how much the media talks about Egypt vs. how much they talk about snow.

Oh, I can’t believe you’ve fallen for all the hype about the number 4, much less the whole cover up with the letters S and V. Open your eyes people!

That is an insult… to Sesame Street News!

Kermit the Frog was an outstanding on-site reporter!

You’re just now discovering the fact that early morning news shows broadcast yammering personalities, stories on clever animals, how to get a designer clothing look on the cheap, and stories of school bullying - with tiny bits of ‘real’ news mixed in, like chocolate chips in a cheap muffin? GMA is the most vacuous, don’t even know what’s on CBS) (but I have a real fondness for the Today Show). Other posters have made suggestions for watching actual news shows, but again I’m surprised you’re surprised at lack of content on GMA. Those types of shows have always been that way.

No, that’s not sad. What’s sad is that folks who go to the Daily Show and Colbert Report are better informed about current affairs than folks who get their news from other sources. The bottom of the list? … (drumroll)… Network Morning Shows, what a surprise!

Linky

CNN and other network news channels were wall-to-wall Egyptian coverage this past weekend, and are probably still loaded with it. And there’s an amazing amount of coverage online and in American newspapers.

At least those A-rabs were considerate enough not to start rioting and overthrowing on the weekend of the Super Bowl. We should be granted an interval of respectful calm this coming Sunday.

A profound and revealing question.

Your delivery needs work. You should say:
"Comparing Good Morning America to Sesame Street is not a fair comparison. One is a serious, professional program designed, written and acted by highly talented professionals, all of whom care deeply about educating and informing their viewers. The fact that they perform this vitally important task with style and wit is just a testament to how outstanding the cast and crew are, both professionally and personally.

“The other is Good Morning America.”

snort splutter bah HA ha ha ha ha haaa!

Heartily agree 100%. I know people on Sesame Street.

And I used to shoot Good Morning America. Tough to sandwich genuine news between Emeril and the seal having a birthday party in the Central Park Zoo.
