Interesting game.

  • Capa540 and Oakminster were all-in on the first hand.

  • Several major suckouts on the river. (All the ones I remember kept someone in the game rather than knocking someone out.)

  • AQ came through for me about 4 times; sometimes when I had it, and at least once when I didn’t.

On my last hand I think I was in a blind and limped in or called a small raise with trash and flopped a straight. Just checked so I didn’t scare anybody off, turn was a free card to Nook’s flush draw. I go all in and he calls, hitting his flush on the river.

And I sucked out on the river to knock Oakminster out, so there’s at least 2 instances that I know of.

I miss you guys too…all of a sudden, 7pm is way too early for me. My little guy (5 yr. old) is ADHD/OCD and we have been working with his speech/auditory processing problems including medication. Sometimes it’s a battle just to get him focused on homework or to de-escalate him from obsessing over a certain PART of a toy that is missing and driving him into a rage. I realize that my wife can’t control these issues by herself, I need (and want) to help so she doesn’t go off the deep-end…(she obsesses over HIS behaviors), so I need to be the rock for both of them. Once we figure the right mixture of OT, meds, and behavior modification, then I will pursue our SD World Poker Tour. In the meantime, I will keep lurking and commenting on this thread.

BTW…I have lost 40 pounds (from 305-310 down to 265-270 depending on which scale I use) since our Dopefest in Vegas…I do workout right after work (before we pick up our kid from pre-school)…and yesterday, I burned 900 calories in 50 minutes on the elliptical machine. I feel alot better, and my knees hardly hurt anymore. Anyways, I’m still here guys and I wish I could play…all of you had contributed to making me a better poker player, and hopefully I’ve done the same for all of you. Maybe I should move to the East Coast so I can start at 10pm…nah, too much of a hassle.

This game seems to be somewhat more agressive than the regular tournaments I’ve played there. The freerolls are kinda crazy, but regular tournaments feature less betting–and smaller bets, than seem to be the norm in this game…

There are usually not people going all in on the first hand like last week :slight_smile:

Aside from that, this is probably more like the final table of a tournament (unless we ever get back over 10 players again). You have to mix it up a little, and lately it’s been almost no limping in without being raised. This site also plays really fast, so I think that has ramped up the aggression over what we’ve been used to.

And everybody gets used how others play, playing the same people every week. Not too much tiptoeing anymore, that might make it seem kinda rough to a recent arrival.

I just emailed you the excel file…updated to last week. Not much I can do with the kills missing on the weeks of 10/12 and 10/26…maybe some can find the kills for 10/26 in their hand histories (if the new software has it). Good luck!

I’ve been committing myself elsewhere these past few Thursdays. I miss the game, but I don’t know how much energy I have to keep a regular appointment on it and to worry about hopping from site to site.

Oslo sent me the spreadsheet and I got all the data entered for Q4, but the formulae aren’t working right. Something about Invalid Floating Point Operation. It may be because I’m using OpenOffice and not Excel. Anybody got any ideas?
