****, you fucking tool, I paid you $90 ($27 to ship a game console my ass, but that’s my own damn fault for not checking before I bid) a month ago and you never sent me my Vectrex or any reason for the delay. I tried contacting you directly and through ebay’s contact form, and still nothing. I decided to give you the benefit of the doubt and call you before filing a fraud report, so I got your number from ebay and called you tonight. As soon as I told you what I was calling about, you hung up. You dumb fuck! Of course I’m willing to pursue this (and I have your name, address, and phone number) if I called you! What did you think that hanging up was going to accomplish, besides pissing off someone who is completely correct in his enmity for you and willing to do something about it?
If I can find a way to do it without paying a lawyer more than I will win, I will skip ebay’s reimbursement program and sue you in small claims, just to show you that you cannot steal from people like this. You fucking ass! Grrr.
P.S. Welcome to the Pit, where men are men and nobody uses asterisks. So now you have to tell us what you WOULD have typed if you hadn’t been too much of a wuss.
Send a letter to the Attorney General of the state the seller lives in, describing the fraud in an entirely cool, factual manner. Ask that the AG investigate him/her for fraud. Mention in the letter that if ** **** will return your funds you will drop the charges, otherwise you want him/her prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. CC the seller.
Of course the AG is 99% likely to blow you off, but it might scare the seller into refunding your money. Worth a shot.
I know how you feel my friend. I paid $38 I really couldn’t afford for a DVD, using the “buy it now” feature. It was 7 weeks before she got it to me, by which time I had already tried to call her (wrong number) and used her real name and home city to track down her actual address (yay anywho.com!) Looks like your guy really isn’t going to come through, but there’s hope, sometimes the people selling you stuff are just asshats and eventually get around to sending you your merchandise
I don’t think that blanking out someone’s name with asterisks on a public messageboard is being a “wuss” at all, DDG. As you say, ** markdiscordia**, it’s better to not publish the scumbag’s name until someone in authority here says, “Yeah! Go for it! It isn’t libel!”
“Nice party, Ted! Hey, I’d like to introduce you to ***** and Janie ********-Lopez-Kennedy. And this is their son, the asterisk formerly known as Billy.”
