Damuri Ajashi, you are a moronic troglodyte of a crackpot

Assuming this is a serious post, I think what Huey said about autistic people is pretty awful (though I’m far from an expert on autism), and I don’t think the military should discriminate against those with minor disabilities who can still serve capably. And I’m pretty sure I’ve never posted anything that would conflict with those sentiments.

But don’t let my actual words distract you from how dangerous I am.

That’s a dangerous assumption. Possibly the most dangerous assumption on this board.

:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Uh, iiandyiiii, uh…wh…what’s your m-m-mmmmmiddle name?

This just reminds me that I made a satirical post back on page five of the Trump Administration Clusterfuck thread in the style of Brietbart where I speculated that Trump was afraid of Russian mobsters and would do Putin’s bidding.

Some responses to comments generated by that post by Damuri Ajashi:

*"In what way am I a Donald apologist. IIRC You are responding to the notion that Donald Trump the POTUS-elect is going to do the bidding of Russia because he might owe money to some Russian banks. Do you seriously think that notion deserves serious consideration or do you think that it is inappropriate for me to point out the dangers of crying wolf and being fucking wrong, again.

What are you going to say in 2 or 3 years when it turns out that Trump ISN’T actually a Manchurian candidate in thrall to Putin? The Liberal hyperventilation just makes it easier to dismiss any actual concerns we might have about Trump."

“Are you fucking seriously entertaining the notion that POTUS can be blackmailed with threats of force against his family? By the Russian mob??? Are you fucking kidding me? How do you expect anyone to take you seriously when you post retarded shit like this?”*

Now that we’re almost two years into Trump’s administration, I don’t think we can rule out that he’s a Manchurian candidate and is doing Putin’s bidding because Trump is in thrall to Putin, who I’ve heard described as being the de facto head of the Russian mob.

Undermine NATO, roll over and show his belly to Putin in front of the world in Helsinki after his secret meeting with no US officials present, side with Putin over US intelligence over election meddling, bitch about signing Congress’s veto-proof Russian sanctions bill, and, unlike with anyone else in the world (saving maybe the Saudi king and crown prince at the moment), never say a negative thing about Putin.

Trump has always been for sale and Putin and the Saudis have bought him.

And, oh yeah, climate change will fix itself so why do anything about it.

Of course you are! I have read that hippos kill more people each year than sharks, lions, elephants, leopards, buffaloes and rhinos combined.

He could word it out like a dangerous man
How could you value his intentions
iiandyiiii had the devil just like anyone can
He spoke words they were frightened to mention.

While we’re here I’ll chime in with what a worthless tool Damuri is. His longwinded screeds drip ignorance, and he does that line-by-line thing that’s so annoying.

…And in that thread, you have Banquet Bear and Mr Dibble line-by-lining Damuri’s line-by-lining, and him line-by-lining their line-by-lining of his line-by-lining, and it’s fucking unbearable. The thread is basically ruined.

Ha ha! I’ll never stop line-by-lining.

It’s called *Fisking*and it is annoying.

But is it dangerous?

To you. To me, it is glorious!

…I have to admit: in this particular thread maybe we went a bit too far. (Scroll down to read: or not. Probably best not!) I was astonished he kept going, and even I didn’t have enough energy to keep the exchange going.

That’s how Damuri “wins” on the Internets…he beats you by winning the war of attrition. I don’t think I’ve posted about gun control since.

I am sending you the medical bill for fixing my bleeding eyeballs.

Real question: have you changed your opinion on that over the past 3 years? Because you used to encourage tit for tat discussions with me before you were a mod.

This isn’t a pitting, btw, more a question about taste. Line by line stuff usually distracts from the broader issues and themes, IMHO, and is typically not best practice. Line by line does have the (small, IMHO) advantage of not distorting positions to some extent, at the hefty cost of big-picture clarity.

Yes, fisking is one extreme. That’s why I’m asking.

My take is line by line is annoying. Separating out multiple ideas is good. Longer complex posts may require longer complex responses, so it really just depends. I’m not going to call out any one off thing that isn’t related to a general theme. Sometimes though, the theme is that you’re wrong

Almost as bad as Fisking, is “best practices”. That’s not a real thing :stuck_out_tongue:

[Grin noted, but “Best practices” is my code word for better posting strategies that fall outside of the range of what deserves mod attention. I’ve argued that we need more of that sort of discussion in ATMB, and less of what constitutes properly moderated behavior. If there’s a better term, my ears are open. If we can argue about what sort of posts are too obnoxious, we can discuss membership driven strategies for promoting quality discussion.

Self policing is the best sort of policing, and good citizenship is even better. ]

I don’t quite agree. I think line by line is sometimes useful when you want to draw attention to how every single bit of what someone said is wrong. But it needs to be used sparingly.

Not only is it annoying to read, just from a style perspective, but it makes it very easy to fall into a “tactic” as I call it. You can easily wind up just deconstructing the post while not actually refuting the underlying argument. It can create the illusion of a refutation without actually refuting everything, as a post is more than the sum of its parts.

I’ve definitely seen this used intentionally, focusing on small, inconsequential problems in the post while ignoring the underlying argument.

I’m currently attempting to notice these tactics and point them out. I don’t yet know if it’s working or just making things worse. In an ideal world, it would help, but this isn’t an ideal world.

Truly, we have much to learn from you.

Wow. I always knew Huey Freeman was effectively a White supremacist, but that’s another twist to the turd.
