Sorry, amanset, I meant to answer this earlier. Yeah, it is nice. Sometimes I think I oughta just concentrate on this kind of stuff and leave the politics alone…but then I think, Nah!

Still, thanks for your comment. It is nice when adversaries can come to a meeting of the minds on other subjects. Equipoise has a truly extraordinary knowledge of and taste in movies and music - especially music - and I’m glad we’ve become friends. She’s become one of my go-to sources when I want to learn something about any musical artist, song or movie. I’m glad we’re on speaking terms.

No worries - and thanks for the thanks. Although we should probably leave the thanking there, “thanks for the thanks for the thanks” and suchlike will just make everyone hate both of us equally

I have yet to hear any conservative ever call a liberal selfish for not wanting to fund some increase in the scope of government.

Conservatives don’t pull the “selfish” card - that’s a move they’ll always lose. They call liberals traitors for not wanting to fund some increase in the scope of government (PATRIOT Act, Iraq War, etc). Not that I’m accusing SA of this specifically, but it’s a favorite move of the right-wing in general.

And I vote Hawkins over Simone. Anyone choosing CCR needs a slap, and if you prefer Sonique you are dead to me - dead, I say.
