“Ginger or Mary Ann?” then becomes “Penny or Judy?” :o
Dark + campy? This might be up your alley: Lexx, episode 1:“I Worship His Shadow”.
First “Full House”, now “Lost in Space”. Netflix is committed to reviving the crowning achievements of Western civilization. Can “My Mother the Car” and “Cop Rock” be far behind?
The original Penny, was, IIRC, a teenager. At that age, it’d be a creepy.
She turned out to be quite hot as an adult! :o
I was a teenager back then too, and she always did it for me!
As an eleven year old I thought the original “Lost in Space” was the best thing ever! Now it’s painful to watch.
I was watching it Wednesday evening, June 8th, 1966, and was annoyed that the local TV station kept breaking in for weather announcements. Then, just before the show was over, the tornado sirens went off. A good part of our city of Topeka was tromped by what would later be classified as an F% tornado. I recall many details of that day, but I sure don’t remember what episode was showing that night. No way to find out, but it would still be cool.

Next up, I fear: “Car 54, Where Are You?” set in a [del]gritty[/del] grimdark urban jungle with a mixed-race pair of patrolmen with dark, troubled pasts.

Sorry for modifying your quoted text, I hope that is sufficient to not be breaking the rules.
And the carrots eat you!
No one could possible hold a candle to Dr Zachary Smith, Jonathan Harris is a master actor, he made the whole show.
The show is him !
Without him the show was nothing, everything revolved around him.
According to this, the episode was “Ghost In Space.”
A F% tornado is F5, right?
Neil Patrick Harris as Doctor Smith
It was so bad that maybe everyone missed it, but Lost in Space has been revived once already.
Mentioned several times in this thread already.
I predict disaster. Watching some of the old eps on Youtube is a laugh riot. The mom is always expected to cook and the girls help her, while the men folk do the men stuff. The girls are all, “c’mon girls, let’s show the men we can survive until they get back!” and then they’re all fussing about their hairdos. They always find a way to lecture the aliens: “in our culture, women are considered the equals of men!”
I could see it as a spoof of the culture of the time. Or, they’ll feel the need to update it for politically correct reasons and everyone will be race and gender-role swapped.
Yeah, he was a real David Hyde Pierce.
Eh. There’s no way he’d get within a light-year of this career-sinker, but no one in the game could do Dr. Smith/2016 better than Benedict Cumberbatch.
Hopefully it’ll sink quietly into oblivion like the ***Prisoner ***and Time Tunnel remakes.
There was a time tunnel remake?
:dubious:
A pilot was produced, yes. I think you can still see it on YouTube. It bears absolutely no resemblance to the original series.
Thanks.
