Danica Patrick into the wall.

At least they can dump their script now and tell me about more than one driver in the race.

I sure wish they could come up with a way to race without crashing every twenty laps. It didn’t use to be this way. It’s difficult to convince non-fans that driving a race car takes a lot of skill when the “best” drivers can’t keep from hitting each other.

The sponsors are going to start talking with their $$ if this keeps up. I wonder how much money GoDaddy.com spent on advertising during the telecast? It’s probably worth about 10% of what it was 10 minutes ago.

It’s as if every pro golfers bag is loaded with a charge and 10 of them go off randomly during each round, knocking the players out of the tournament.

Welcome to the Mythbusters National Pro/Am.

When was that?

It’s been this way since they started restrictor plate racing on the superspeedways. Makes all the cars too much the same and they get bunched together causing more accidents. Dale Jr. hates it and has been outspoken about it as well as other drivers.

Don’t recall seeing it before on in-car videos, but FOX had a camera in-car on Jimmie Johnson during the first lap wreck at Daytona

Look for the in-car from Jimmie about the 2:38 mark

hands off the wheel, arms crossed over the chest, one hell of an impact when he spins back down the track.

Maybe they’ve been watching Danica.

OK, that’s new. I’ve never seen a jet-dryer on fire before.

That was one heck of a fire. I wonder how damaged the track is.

Heh heh, Brad Keselowski is tweeting from his car during the red flag.

Just got home. WTF was the jet truck doing on the track when race cars were out?

Blowing debris off while under caution. Montoya was following an inside line at speed to catch up to the pack when something broke.

Is Danica going to the bathroom, or what? Stripping off her coveralls while walking behind the wall. I guess she doesn’t have the empty soda bottle solution.

Has to film a Go Daddy as?

Ad damn it. Ad

I don’t think Indians cursed Talladega, but I’m convinced something has cursed Daytona the past several years.

It’s certainly been an odd race. Rain delay, a wreck in lap 2 that takes out some of the big names, engines and cars failing (apparently) because sitting out since yesterday got enough moisture into the instrument panel to screw things up, then a collision with a jet dryer and a fire on the track.

The amazing thing is that no one got more than shook up or had the wind knocked out of them.

Any bets if the track is raceable?

And we are green

I think a herd of reindeer have escaped from a nearby zoo and are going to run on to the track once they get going again.

And another caution.
