New year, so I guess it’s time for a new thread. Let’s start out with a bummer, shall we?
I don’t like her as a presenter because she is bad at the job. But this Maga shit is just nauseating.
“…and most recently sharing images from a Republican rally with hats stating “I could sh*t a better president” and a stand selling “woke tears water.””
I was a big fan of Danica when she first showed up in IndyCar, and was pleased at all the interest she brought to the series, especially among women and girls. She showed some real promise as a driver, but then moved to NASCAR, and I’m not a redneck, so I didn’t follow her career after that. (I kid, NASCAR, I kid.)
When she showed up as a commentator, I watched for a few minutes, was unimpressed, and tuned out. But then I’ve never made a habit of watching race pre-shows, in any series. They’re just time-filling blather. I rarely watch races in real time, preferring to record them and watch at my convenience.
I’m disappointed that she’s a MAGAt, but since I won’t be watching her anyway, it’s no big deal to me.
Johnny Herbert? Who like, actually drove an F1 car???
Bernie is a font of knowledge, but her accent drives me up the wall with all that Tryin’ and Hopin’ and Fixin’ and Scorin’.
She’s so ugly to me for poor job performance, but especially so now her maga involvement, there’s no amount of fashion that could make her in any way appealing to me.
This is shaping up to be a placeholder season. I question how much either Mercedes or Ferrari are going to get after Red Bull. Interesting timing on the reports of Hamilton’s move. Can’t recall any other time a major shakeup like this was announced before the start of a season before the change. Interesting…
I pretty much pull for Ferrari as the team, but have never really been a Hamilton fan. But if he can put The Prancing Horse in the Winner’s Circle, I’ll all for him! Here’s your chance, Lewis! But I somehow doubt he gives a shit whether or not I’m a fan.
Hah! I’m the opposite! I’ve been a fan of Hamilton pretty much since he started in F1, but not so much of Ferrari. But if Hamilton’s going there, I’ll be a Tifosi.
It’s officially race week, with Bahrain leading off the calendar again. Red Bull looks ridiculous, Christian Horner has been vindicated in the investigation that he’s an asshole, and Checo thinks he can stay close to Verstappen this year.
How many laps does Max win by? And does Adrian Newey pull some more wizardry out and make Mercedes zero-pod concept actually fast?
I mean, he definitely is, but apparently not to the point of being fired for being an asshole.
But now a bunch of team principals, F1 executives, and reporters got a huge dump of alleged messages related to the investigation. So who the hell knows at this point?
FP1 and FP2 seemed to give no indication of where teams stand, except Haas and Alpine appear to be trash. Qualifying could be interesting tomorrow.
