Man, that guy lit Danzig up. Good for him. Danzig shoved him first, and as one of the more intelligent posters at the Metal Forum put it, if you send it out, you’d better be ready for some shit to come back at you. I’m as big a Misfits/Samhain/first couple of Danzig albums fan as you’ll find, but he’s a complete cock.
I doubt, however, that it will teach him any humility.

That wasn’t even a punch. It was a slap.
The backstory is - the slapper is the lead singer of the North Side Kings. They were supposed to open for Captain Stumpy, oops Danzig. Things got screwed up and it was agreed that Danzig would go on, followed by NSK. Since NSK had driven six hours to play at that venue, they said that was fine.
After Danzig’s set the house lights came up and Danzig’s crew started taking the stage apart. Kind of hard for NSK to play a set with no stage. Danny, aka the Slapper, confronted Danzig backstage and that clip is what happened next.
And to think, this guy wanted to play Wolverine in the X-Men movies!
To be sure, he can certainly act tought. I never realized that Danzig was so short.
Looks pretty clear to me.
GD pushed the guy in an obvious intimidation move…and got clocked.
That was a closed fist, clean right, verging on a “haymaker” style swing. Not the best move, tactically, but looks like it got the job done!

That’s too bad, though. I’ve always dug Danzig. At least his first two albums. They rock. I saw him in Columbus about 10 years ago, and they were good.
But he definitely got bitch-slapped in that clip.
I find myself saying this for the second time in about a month:
I always knew Danzig was an asshole, I just never knew he was so stupid.
It does kind of shatter the illusion of a guy I’ve thought was a total badass for the past 15+ years though. I almost wish I hadn’t seen it.
