Hugh Jackman? Think Eddie. Really - make him lost about 30 pounds, and he could be a fucking incredible junkie with a steel backbone. And then, to watch him in the battle in Balthasar’s office…damn!
For some reason I always had Bruce Campbell stuck in my head as Roland. He could take it to a new campy edge.

I, too, have long thought of Christopher Walken as a perfect Randall Flagg, and therefore a perfect Marten.
Whoever cast the Stand miniseries should be drawn and quartered. Randall Flagg a stocky guy with a mullet? I think not.
Roland is a toughie. IMHO, he is very very thin, so a lot of the choices here wouldn’t work for me. I wouldn’t worry too much about his age, because he is kind of ageless. Clint Eastwood’s just too old, though. Damn. Peter Weller? He’s skinny enough, anyway.
I’d love to see what a good prop shop would do with the lobstrosities.
I don’t know - I thought he had an unsettling everyman look to him. Overall, a well-cast show (with my personal favorite being Rob Lowe and whoever was playing Tom - a great combo).
