Anakin and Padme had a bond through the force, formed by Anakin’s off the charts force ability, their vitality or life force was shared. Padme was feeling some of Anakin’s pain and shock when he was dismembered and left to die, and he was able to survive only by subconciously taking vitality from her which is what kept him alive until he was put in the suit and what killed her.
