The guy manages to break pretty much every PC rule in the book, yet I still laughed my ass off.
Not sure how I feel about this.

Not commenting on the show itself, as I’ve not seen it. But I’d argue that PC has a different meaning in comedy than most other places. The meaning is similar, but being non-PC is different with comedy, because there’s the pretense that the person doesn’t believe the underlying hateful stuff. Granted, it has to be done well, so that it actually comes off as funny and not using comedy as an excuse, but it can work.
That was my first encounter with PC, and why I was originally anti-PC: I enjoy(ed) South Park, and “offensive” standup. But, while it can make for good comedy, it doesn’t really work in the serious world. So I’m now pro-PC, except that I think offensive comedy is fine if the underlying message isn’t actually hateful.
