I do think there are far too many divorces, but it’s because people rush into marriage. In any case, I fail to see what makes this a problem in need of government regulation to solve. While I think it’d be less reprehensible to curb the problem from the supply side (make marriages harder to enter into) than the back end (preventing divorces), both those solutions are categorically worse than the problem they solve. Although we’ve been getting this whole civilization thing figured out over time, that doesn’t mean humanity is any less impulsive or stupid when it comes to matters of the heart. Advocating anything other than the absolute freedom to marry and divorce at will is punishing humans for being human. If you disagree, I hate you.
This was meant as a disapproval of your ideas being influential on children, not a claim you are a child molester but was confusing next to the age of consent vs age of majority bit.
