Not sure this should be in CS - maybe MPSIMS. And for those who don’t want to click an unidentified link, it’s a series of newspaper articles about a girl who grew up poor, came home at age 17 from a summer camp for gifted students to find her mom and stepdad had moved away with no forwarding info, and how she managed to not only finish high school but excel.
Beg pardon for the unidentified link. Dawn Loggins is a poor, abandoned and homeless 17 y/o who worked as the custodian at the high school she attended. She and her brother couldn’t even afford candles to study by.
Well… she was just accepted at Harvard, full scholarship beginning this Fall.
