DC Comics Crisis Fallout Revisited

Perhaps… that’s not an entirely unreasonable assumption… seeing as how back in Swamp Thing (Annual #2, I believe) it was revealed that the Spectre guarded the entrance to Hell … so there wasn’t a Hell-1 and a Hell-2.

Hey, yeah, I remember Darkseid! What the hell did they ever do with him?

This whole post-Crisis thing sounds intensely confusing.

After Crisis, I read my friend’s copy of Watchmen, and that was pretty much it for me and comics. I guess I’m not that sorry.

No cite or anything, but I thought they were affected? They never mention Earth 2 or anything (I know, why would they, but still…).

Also, I read on the DC Wonder Woman boards one of the Gods saying that they felt the effects of Crisis as well, just more gradually than everyone else. I don’t know what that means in regard to Steve and Diana possibly still being in Olympus. I’d like to think that they are.

This reminds me of college. All night debate sessions on which hero could kick which other hero’s ass… Ah… memories…

Ok… one question…

How is Kara Zor-el back in continuity?

Odin: We don’t know yet. In Superman/Batman #8:

Earth’s heroes are clearing the remains a kryptonite meteor shower while Superman hangs out in space (at the JLA Watchtower I presume). Batman, checking Gotham harbor for meteorites finds a spaceship, recently landed (less than two weeks) with Kryptonian markings. A naked blonde girl steals the Batboat, and wanders around Gotham, where she beats up a gang that tries to confront her and flies around a bit. Batman tracks her down, incapacitates her with the kryptonite from the harbor, and takes her to the Batcave. Superman arrives, and when she comes to, the have a long conversation in which she explains everything. Unfortunately it’s in Kryptonian, so only Superman knows the stroy. It ends with Superman introducing her as “Kara Zor-El, my cousin”.
I’m assuming that the meteor shower is connected to the spaceship, and that we’ll get the backstory in #9.

shy guy: The early issues of the relaunch of Wonder Woman seem to indicate that the Olympian gods had no memory of any version of history except the current one, which would seem to indicate that all previous versions of Wonder Woman ceased to exist. Further,

When Diana died and was made a goddess, there was no indication of any other Diana. When she was gone, Hippolyte took her place–if you see Wonder Woman with a sword and shield, that’s Hippolyte, not Diana. When Diana came back and became Wonder Woman again, Hippolyte was sent back in time to the 40’s to become the Golden Age Wonder Woman. So as I understand it, Golden Age WW=modern Hippolyte through a time warp, and modern Wonder Woman=Diana. The current timeline doesn’t seem to have a Wonder Woman in the silver age, and they’ve gone to great lengths to establish that the current Diana was the first Wonder Woman in post Crisis continuity.

Thanks Six.

Now they just gotta get her to kick the moon out of orbit to stop an evil sorceress from completeing a spell (which could only be cast during a particular conjunction of the moon and planets) and I’ll be happy. It’s the coolest thing Kara ever did.

Here’s the only link I could find to a picture of the recent Wizard magazine cover with the new Supergirl drawn by Michael Turner. (It’s someone’s custom HeroClix page.)

Whatever happened to the Matrix/Linda Danvers Supergirl? I liked PAD’s series, although I dropped it (along with every other comic, to go to college) after the Carnivore storyline, as she was leaving on a road trip with Buzz.

In that storyline, Kara had an appearance as a spiritual being.

Yeah, yeah, I know it wasn’t the REAL classic one, but that’s the one I remember from my my little kid days…

Sad thing is Mr Fenris, I tain’t no young’un anymore neither, but i’m young for a comic fan. sigh. Whatever is the world coming to? (at least I’ll be making sure DangerLad gets a right serious comicbook education!).

Oh, for Og’s sake…

Christina Aguilera IS Supergirl!!

Honestly…miniskirt, bellyshirt, and anorexia…somebody shoot me now.
