I seem to recall that the theme song used to be “Hell” by the Squirrel Nut Zippers and now (in syndication on the SciFi channel) it’s some cheesy generic crap. Did they lose their rights to use “Hell” in syndication or something, or did they change the theme while it was still in production? Or am I imagining the whole thing?
According to wikipedia, Hell was used in the pilot, but was never the theme of the series.
Also, Hell has lyrics. Dead Like Me’s theme song never had lyrics, unless it changed between seasons, and the first season was changed to the second season OP in reairings. This seems unlikely.
Huh. I could have SWORN the song was in more than the pilot! Wow, how we misremember.
