Actually, it’s whisky; but ‘Dead Man’s Rum’ sounds better.
Several years ago – late-'80s/early-90s – a friend gave be her late father’s sauce. Now, I like alcohol as much as the next guy; but I seldom drink it. Well, tonight I decided to have some of the sauce. I’m having a bourbon and water on the rocks, Old Weller, that I got from my friend. Not bad.
You see, this is the kind of stuff that makes us alcoholics shake our heads and realize just how different we are from those we affectionately refer to as “normies.”
You mean to tell me you’ve been carting around a bottle of bourbon for 15+ years and just now decided to drink some of it? Wow…just wow.
(shakes head in amazement, check that, head explodes from episode of severe cognitive dissonance)
same bottle for 15 years…does not compute…just now decided to have some, just on a whim…does not compute…beep, whir, BEEP BEEP BEEP POW!!!
…mmm… 15+ year old bourbon…
(drools all over keyboard, then goes out with intent to get smashed)
15 year old bourbon isn’t 15 year old bourbon, if you see what I mean. It doesn’t mature once it’s bottled.
On the other hand, Old Weller is a great bourbon.
It’s also a great book, man. And the movie…boy it got dusty in the rec room at the end of that movie, I tells ya.
What?
There’s a bottle of Pinch scotch, too. (Weird triangular bottle with pinched sides.)
I have other sauce, but it’s stuff I bought myself. I’ll get around to drinking it someday.
