Hey, how about a tag team match: Jane and Joanie v. Trixie and MizIz. Now that would be worth watching. Alma couldn’t kick her own ass with a prosthetic leg and a mirror.
:smack: You’re right. I totally forgot about MissIzz’s lie to Silas, that Alma told her that Al was her instrument in Brom’s murder.
Never mind.
Now you’re talking!
Just as the residents of Deadwood truly did enjoy the bicycle wager, we of the Audience-who-are-waiting-for-the-next-episode may cheer on an imaginary tag-team cage match vs. *The Friends of Charlie Utter * (Jane and Joanie) and the team of Trixie and Miss I.
Please feel free to suggest a name for the team of Trixie and Miss I. I can’t think of one.
Thanks Rubystreak. I thought I may have misremembered that, and I was correct. That just makes it all the more creepy, don’t it?
Don’t forget Sol. And Jane. Doc’s still the moral center of the show though.
I did get a creepy vibe between Steve & William, but I don’t think there was enough time for anything creepy to happen. And he tried to save Williams life (and may have succeeded). I think it’s innocent (or just a way to get on Bullock’s good side).
Here’s three interesting plot points I found significant nobody has mentioned.
-Wolcott threatening Cy saying he could have the Bella Union burned down by Mr. Lee at any minute. With Cy being tortured before during or after.
-Where did Trixie get the big lump of gold? I remember Alma giving it to her last year, then she gave it to Al, left it on the nightstand.
-Dan overtly threatening the Russian telegraph operator. I wonder how long that guy will last until he caves in, dies or runs away.
My .02, I think Steve was trying to be nice to William to get on Seth’s good side. Creepy maybe, but not as bad as it looks to us in the current Michael Jackson era mindset.
I think Trixie is trying to help Alma because of the way she was treated last year. Mrs. Garret was probably the first person to ever treat Trixie as a person, not just a whore. Remember she offered to send Trixie to New York? Bad idea but the offetr was genuine.
I tried to frame by frame the accident as well. You can’t see any real details. I noticed on the previews that when Seth is carrying William there was blood on the side of his face like it was coming out of his ear. Maybe I’m reading too much into it.
One quick thing in the montage is Dan knocking down EB, always entertainment in my book. Then Doc glaring through a window at somebody. That was the problem with this episode, no Doc!
We all know the season end with a Wedding. Here’s a match between cunning underhanded amoral types; Al and Izzy.
