I think you’re right about Steve. I don’t see any way that Tom was involved with that though.
I thouht she said,
“I can’t bear to stay.”
But maybe I misheard.
I thought she said
“I came here to stay.” But you might be right. I guess we have to wait until next week to find out.
I may have heard it the way I did b/c I know that Martha and Seth stay together. It would be quite odd if she was going to leave and Seth decided to talk her out of it. I think I might in fact be quite angry with him if he does, considering.
Anyone have any idea why EB’s heart was broken? I might have to watch again to try to figure it out.
As for Tom Nuttall, I don’t think he had anything to do with the pedophilia, if there was any. I think Steve opportunistically took advantage of the situation to cuddle up to William. My assessment of Tom is that he’s a good guy having a run of very bad luck.
Yep, it looks like Steve is fomenting for a lynching. Is it just me, or is Hostetler crazy for thinking he can bring the horse back to Deadwood and get forgiveness? I was with the NG on this all the way-- it’s not going to go over so well. I guess we’ll see.
I think E.B. feels slighted that he is being left out of Al’s machinions. He appears to have fallen down the pecking order some. In his twisted mind this is akin to being a jilted lover.
I hope the NG leaves for Oregon and doesn’t return. He’s added nothing to the show imho. The livery owner, Hosteler (sp) is a much more interesting character. Still waters run deep with that one.
E.B. used to be included in all those meetings and discussions about the camp’s future. Now he’s totally out of the loop.
And I don’t think there is anything to the ideas here that Steve was trying to molest William. It seems wierd that people are insinuating it, IMO.
There was that little escapade with Steve jerking off on Bullock’s horse that might make a person think that Steve was prone to odd behaviour around people or animals associated with Seth.
I don’t think that has much to do with it. I agree that the whole “molestation” angle seems a bit odd to me. I thought it for about 1/2 a second, realized that it really did not look like they were trying to imply it, and also realized I probably only thought about it because it is a hypersensitive issue in our present society.
Technically, his name is Lee (or Li), though I think most of us prefer San Francisco cock-sucker.
After Seth slapped him down, Steve, in a drunken idea, decided to fuck Seth’s horse to get back at him. Dude, he was plastered! I don’t think that has much to do with anything else.
Along those lines, aren’t Leon and Stapleton the comic relief duo?
Much like Mr. Wint and Mr. Kidd?
