Hmmmmm…
That was exciting…and oddly fulfilling to watch play out.
More and more, it seems the eligibility to be on the show is directly related to be being a loud, obnoxious, moron.
Anyway,
She did not get the million. She had a choice between $5,000 and 1,000,000. She was offered ~$500,000. She turned it down, they opened the case, and she got $5000.
She deserved it.
This also proves NBC is extremely deceptive in their ads, practically promising a contestant would win the million tonight.
What did you think?
I agree. That woman certainly was a complete moron. My husband’s still giggling at her stupidity. She should never show her face in public ever again.
I liked the show when it debuted, but I can’t watch it anymore because of the contestants. I don’t think anyone will ever win the million.
They’ve shown commercials saying that someone does win the million this season.
I don’t like the way they preview the rest of the show before each commercial break. By 8:25, they had told us that she’d get down to 2 cases, and the offer would be $530,000.
I didn’t watch but I thought the NBC commercials were simply claiming someone would get the million this *season *(not necessarily on that episode)? Am I mistaken?
That’s how I interpreted the commercials (seen repeatedly during the Olympics).
I’m glad someone started this thread, cuz I missed the end. So she got $5k, but also got her walk-on on a Broadway show, and audition, right? That’s worth $500k right there, right?
Why can’t quiet folks like me get on that show? Must everyone be obnoxious? Hated the platinum wigs on the models but glad to see my favorites all came back. They could and should maybe play 1 1/2 games per show and not just one. They waste SO much time agonizing over the early offers that they know they will turn down. And I don’t care if your Aunt Matilda’s hairdresser’s daughter has 4 children and that’s why you’re picking case 4. Just pick the number and get on with it.
I also was an avid fan at first, and then totally abandoned this show (but got sucked by in by the promise of seeing the $1M hit). I grew completely turned off by the obnoxious contestants; the celebrity drop-ins; the dithering over choices that just got worse and worse; and really long run of bad luck. Everybody picked one case too many and left with a pittance.
