Hey, I just remembered that you can clearly hear Jabba say “Chewbacca” while speaking in his own language. So, Jabba has the ability to vocalize the word “Chewbacca” and it was unneeded to translate this since it was the same in his language.

He also says “Solo,” and refers to Chewbacca as a “Wookiee,” so he’s apparently in the habit of using the human words for names when it’s convenient to do so.
