I was on the phone with the sound off on the TV when I flipped by VH1 and happened upon Mariah Carey and Diana Ross singing a medly of Baby Love and Stop in the Name of Love. The only thing that kept me from being paralyzed by the horror of it all was wondering what’s the deal deal with Diana’s hair? Cripes, it’s hideous mass of unkempt hair as wide as her shoulders.
Astonishing the amount of attention those two horses asses get. As for the hair, I’ll bet the ranch it’s a wig, a great big wig to draw more attention to Herself. I understand Ms. R. has been seething over Whitney Houston’s popularity for years and has been plotting a Comeback in her head, and figures now the time is right.
IMHO, Diana Ross was nothing without the Supremes. But in the reunion tour, I don’t think that the original Supremes are even showing up. Rumor has it that originally all three of the Supremes were going to be paid the same amount of money and Diana nixed it. Supposedly DR is going to get 15M and the other two are only getting 3M.
I don’t get it. The only claim to fame that DR has had in the past twenty years is that Michael Jackson is trying to look like her.
You know, I’m all for fairness and all, but I don’t see how the Supremes (Gawd, I forgot their names!) can feel like they were being ripped off. Hello?? 3 million bucks? for singing back-up?

Well, yeah, 3 million ain’t exactly minimum wage…but I understand the hostility. Diana Ross (though I love her voice) has always been a bitch to The Supremes and they’re probably sick of it. She always got the spotlight as well as most of the money and she treated them like shit. A little gratitude, D? You’d never have made it so big without them.
I always thought the real reason behind the lack of a Supremes reunion is that one of the Supremes Flo Ballard, is dead.
PunditLisa, you misunderstood. Diana nixed the deal. She did not want to be paid the same as her backup singers. Combined. I don’t care what anybody says. Mz Ross can’t sing, she can’t act and she put the itch in bitch.

Flo Ballard was fired in 1967 and died in 1976. Her replacement was Cindy Birdsong. Mary Wilson was the third Supreme. Ross went solo in '70 and was replaced by never-heard-of-before-or-since Jean Terrell. But the squib I read about this “reunion”, they named two women I never heard of and printed a picture that looked like three guys. I had thought the Supremes just fell apart after Terrell flopped.

Mary Wilson was on Entertainment Tonight or one of those shows talking about the unfair treatment that she and the other Supreme had gotten from DR both when they were singing together and for this reunion. That’s when I heard that Miss D had nixed the equal pay for the tour and wanted the 15M to Mary’s 3M. That’s why they ended up with those two other people that had nothing whatsoever to do with the original Supremes. And you know you can believe everything that you see and hear on TV. 
I believe that Ross was (and is) a beeyatch because I’ve read it over and over. Jeez, with all her loot, what difference would it make if they all get equal pay?
