~VOW, don’t make laugh. My cough pillow don’t work for laughing.
I faked Nurse Rachet out. She brought me a sleeping pill. I didn’t swallow it yet.
I’m trying to watch ‘Spartacus’
Don’t worry I’ll swallow it in a bit. I gotta be perky tomorrow so Nurse Hoss-man won’t chew me out.
I would kill for a corndog. I can’t even talk the lil’wrekker into going after some.
She brought me some protein bars. :smack:
Chortle.
Gatopescado called it. And Beck is still definitely Beck.
Which is very good to know.
You need sleep, girlfriend. Take the pill and throw us out.
Oh, I thought I was asleep.
I took the pill. Nurse Rachet came hooked up my restraints and turned the TV off.
I’m asleep now.
Ask Nurse Rachet to show you the warrant for the restraints. No warrant, call Security.

Yep. She loves her cats.
Hee-hee. I did that after my heart surgery, just to see whether I could stand up. All the alarms and everyone came running. So they raised my bed WAY up so I couldn’t get out, but I figured out how to lower it. I got a “FALL RISK” bracelet which I still have. Did you get one?
Vienna sends her best to the Meezers.
what you do to get rid of the relatives is tell the nurse to come in say 45 minutes or so and chase em out …
when I was taking pain meds in the hospital for my gallbladder my dad didn’t like the idea of me on morphine so he had it switched to Demerol … made me sick as a dog and took a week longer to get out because it didn’t work with the other meds …
I’m surprised tho your eating solid foods I didn’t get any for a week in a half until they brought me warmed up leftovers like an hour before checkout and i wolfed it down … the weekend nurse was amazed until she read my chart and said "you eat shoe leather right about now wouldn’t ya "
I am Beckdawrek!
No! I am Beckdarek!
Seriously, Beck, we need you here.
'Nuff said for now,
S.
I’ve always gotten the best breakfasts at hospitals. Eggs, bacon, biscuit & jelly, cereal, and coffee. I learned quickly to fill up on breakfast because lunch sometimes sucked. I could get by eating a bite or two of a bad lunch and not be too hungry.
Hope they start you on regular meals soon Beck.
I guess you know most hospitals will offer alternate food? They used to serve catfish on Fridays. I hate, hate, hate fish and refused to eat. So they’d make me a ham sandwich or turkey. Wasn’t fancy but a lot better than nasty fish.
Thou art Beckdarek
Welcome back Beck
**Day Four “Ollie look what you’ve got us into”!
**Good ‘ouchy’ morning!
Surgery hurts.
Breakfast was pretty dang good. Oatmeal and really nice strawberries. The sausage kinda resembled meat. Only complaint is: it was not enough.
I hear I will see the PT people today. Nurse Hoss says they are nice people. Hmmmm?
beck, who’s still hungry.
I’m curious, did they stick a sponge or something in you to fill the hole left by Pancho?
Hi Beck, glad to see you’re progressing to therapy already. They should be gentle these first days because they understand you’re in pain.
Need to get that pain pump refilled. But not too much. The docs are cautious these days with that stuff.
Feel better soon Beck.
I’m hoping they are just gonna talk today.
Crossed fingers.
I had a friend in college who was a PT major. He said that, in his experience, there were two breeds of physical therapists:
-
“Ohhh, you poor thing, you must be in such pain! Let’s take this slow, and we’ll get you back up and moving soon.”
-
“Get out of bed, you lazy bastard! Pain is just weakness leaving your body! Drop and give me 20!”
May you get the first type.
And, I’m glad you got a meal that was actually palatable this time!
