Dear Pancho: (My sick, sick, sick right kidney) Let's talk!

That makes sense. Gotta protect Lefty from any nastiness from Pancho’s old home. He’s gone but not entirely forgotten.

‘Hilda Svengarde’?

Damn, I was hoping you wouldn’t ever find this out! :smack:

No insomnia? Now who am I going to play “Don’t Bump” and “Count to a Million” with, at 3:00 AM?

I’m still here. My insomnia is intact.

Beck: So you don’t get to take Pancho home in a jar of formaldehyde?

Sounds like the Federales kept Pancho. Best not to ask to see the remains.

========Oh My God Becky=======

Holy Hell, OM freakin’G, For the love of Pete, Jesus Christ Superstar, oh heck throw Sinatra and Carrot Top in there too…

                       Ouch!

Yes?

Sunny girl, I had a rough night. I’m better now. (:))

Are you still feeling sickly, or is it just pain?

It’s the sleep meds. I just can’t handle them.
They make me crazy.

Eek! But glad thinks are better in the light.

A friend of mine just had an overnight hospital stay (hernia). He brought his Pennsylvania Medical Marijuana card and a vape pen. A nurse told him that wasn’t permitted and he laughed.

Saturday night Special

I just realized I’ve been here a few days. Jeez, drugs mess with your timing.
I’ll lose an hour tonight too. This is sucking my soul out.

Let me tell you about bathtime. Lucky it’s Saturday. The Nurse gets me all set and leaves. Before she leaves she says, “Don’t fall down, don’t drown, here’s the buzzer if either thing happens.”
This place is so cold. The water is lukewarm at best. I’m liable to have pneumonia. They are gonna kill me one way or another.
I got my new jammies on. I couldn’t get back to the bed. I just sat there awhile trying to decide if this was a nurse call button problem or my own personal problem. I may have napped awhile. I know they had a shift change. I heard folks talking out in my room. It seems I was not in bed like I was supposed to be. Well guess what folks? I’m in the john.
So…being well mannered I knocked on the inside of the bathroom door. Someone says “come in”…what??! :smack:
They finally realized ol’beck is stuck in the john. How embarrassing.
I got helped to the bed. Fed, fluffed, fiddled over.

Hot time in the ol’surgical wing …tonight.

(Except I’m still freezing :))

If you tell them you’re cold, and ask for another blanket, they’ll bring you this number that feels like it was crocheted from barbed wire. The knit is so loose, you can put fingers through it. I think patients run fevers in self-defense!

When my mum was in recovery from surgery and was cold, the nurses would take a light cotton blanket it and microwave it, than put it on mum’s legs and feet. She said it made all the difference.

I’ve had the warm blanket treatment. It was very nice.
I’m a bit druggy today. I slept well last night
But I’ve been painful.
I have a little ankle swelling. And a tiny headache
I’m gonna nap after lunch.

When are you supposed to get out of the hospital?

^^^I’ll be discharged Monday to a recuperation center.
I live in a remote location so the doctor requested I go there.
Not looking forward to it at all! (:))

Yay for getting out of the hospital!

How long in the recuperation facility?

So quit pulling against the ankle restraints!
