Is this a minor thing? Yes. It’s slightly below the importance of a hangnail that’s irritating your ex-girlfriend’s cousin’s brother’s slutty friend’s uncle. But still…
When you’re ON THE AIR turn off the speakers on your machine so I don’t hear a “wah woo” every time Outlook downloads a new fucking email message. I get to hear a few times an hour. It’s unprofessional. I understand that your average DJ has the mental faculties of a learning disabled chip that was quickly lobotomized with a rusty screwdriver, but you’ll never find another job you’re qualified for.
I know. I know it’s vitally important that you are immediately notified where you can “Bie |)ruggz chieplay and v|ggra for .1o% StndERd rates”, but come the fuck on.
Really.

hahaha I have NEVER heard this happen… perhaps the DJs in my listening area are achieving a bare minimum that yours only dream about
Since I mostly listen to NPR, maybe they just can’t afford that fancy-schmancy “wah woo” filter.

Heh, I once heard a DJ IMing people while she was on the air.
I wish the egotistical celebrity fucktards who do DVD commentaries would turn their fuckin cellphones off. Not only don’t they turn them off, they fuckin answer them.
“HEY! I CAN’T TALK RIGHT NOW! I’M DOING A COMMENTARY! HAHAHA!”
These people need to be slapped hard and slapped often.
You have to give me the name of a movie on DVD where that happens…
It happens more than a few times on the Family Guy DVDs.
I was told that I could listen to the radio between 9 am and 11 am at a low volume while I am collating.
If it bugs you that much, e-mail the station and tell them. Sometimes, they’re receptive enough to complaints that they’ll do something.

And maybe, just maybe, you’ll get to hear the “Wah Woo” sound of your own email reaching their box!
This used to be a problem for me, because I do my radio show straight from my laptop (plugged into the board). For the first few shows I just tried to avoid doing anything that would cause a system sound; I finally realized that I could just turn them off.
It is a pain in the ass when I’m on the air and I look at a web page that has sound, but no one really listens anyway so it doesn’t matter much.
Yes, but at least you’ll know they got it!
