I guess I’m just a little late to the party here, as I am just now hearing that Schneider is vying for the position of “hollywood celebrity responsible for most unnecessary deaths”. Apparently this isn’t news. Not that it particularly matters, as Schneider is pretty C-list anyways, and hasn’t appeared as more than a bit part in a movie that was even remotely decent or funny since… Um… Ever. But I guess it’s not enough to just be one of the few actors who is completely incapable of ever landing a real role in a film whose screenplay doesn’t suck worse than a male prostitute (I mean, 50 First Dates was decent, but he was pretty much the worst thing in it). No, you also have to join the camp of people intentionally making the world a worse place in the dumbest, most destructive way possible. I cannot think of any dumber cause than antivaccinationism. Maybe suicide bombing children’s hospitals for the sake of spreading AIDS.
So fuck you, Schneider. I would say something about never supporting him or his products again, but that’s like saying that I’m never going to support the neo-nazi scat porn industry or their products again - they don’t exactly make anything I’d buy in the first place.

A few weeks ago I saw a guy who looked an awful lot like him in Whole Foods in Lexington. I later read that he was doing standup at the comedy club in the same complex, so it actually was him.
I wish I had known he was an outspoken antivaxxer, so I could have kicked him in the taint.
Also, how hard up are the antivaxxers for spokespeople? How am I supposed to take your movement seriously when your public faces are the 1994 Playmate of the Year and Deuce Bigelow, Male Gigolo?

Equating ‘preventable deaths’ with the name of an individual and assigning them blame for the total is absurd.

His daughter is the musician Elle King and she’s pretty phenomenal. She sang “Playing for Keeps” which was used in the pre-season promos of the most recent season of “Mad Men.”
So he made one thing that didn’t suck (though I don’t believe he had much to do with raising her.)
An anti-pitting, from the place I saw it, not the original sources, Sarah Michelle Gellar is partnered with the March of Dimes and Sanofi Pasterus to encourage adults to get the TDaP vaccination. So at least not all celebrities want to kill babies.
There are others: Julie Bowen, Jennifer Garner, Salma Hayek, Jennifer Lopez, Amanda Peet, Keri Russell, and Kristi Yamaguchi have all publicly supported vaccination.
It’s a hard call to make. Charlie Sheen is anti-vax and while he spreads his idiocy out among a number of issues, you’ve got to respect the volume of crazy he brings to the table.
I can picture exactly how that would have gone, too - “Hi Rob, I’m a doctor” - WHAM! Since he’s a fairly small guy, I can see your taint-kick actually lifting him off the ground.
The only absurd thing about that website is that Oprah Winfrey’s name isn’t on it, too.
