Death of the last Titanic survivor who had memories of the event

Lillian Asplund, aged 5 at the time of the sinking and presumably the last survivor who still had any memories (if only vague ones) of the event.

So how many does that leave-two or three? The only one still alive that I can think of would be Milvina Dean. (A friend of mine met her at a Titanic event, btw).

Two, according to Wikipedia, both of whom were less than a year old at the time of the sinking in 1912.

According to other reports, she never iked to talk about the disaster, and made specific instructions that no mention was to be made of it in her obituary. With all the news feeds about this since her death – that final wish can’t have been fulfilled.

I went to high school with a girl whose grandparents were on the Titanic and lived to tell about it. They later had to go to Washington DC to testify on the events. They were fairly wealthy, in first class and on the side of the boat they were on, they were told to get into the life boats and not worry as there was plenty of room for everyone. Their life boat went out and was not even full.
