Deaths in the family

Let me preface this by saying that by the time I came along, the family had pretty much spread out. And my aunts had six, and ten, kids; so I couldn’t name all of my cousins. So I’m not particularly close to many of my relatives, except for aunts and uncles and some of my cousins. Anyway…

One of my cousins died from cancer just before Christmas. Another cousin (from the other aunt) died from cancer a couple of weeks ago. His mother, one of my aunts, died yesterday morning. I last saw her three years ago at my other aunt’s 90th birthday party. I could tell her mind was going, as she had trouble recognizing people. I could tell she didn’t really know who I was, even though I’m almost a clone of her brother, my dad.
Her funeral is at the end of June.

Offering my condolences, J L.A..

Beats me why bad things come in threes.

I’m sorry there was a cluster of deaths, Johnny L.A.. It’s no fun when family gets older and the bad news just keeps getting more frequent.
