Random thought occured to me. Music dramatically affects how we perceive what’s in front of us… when I played this game, it was … creepy, with that music, and “7.3 million dead” and such. But imagine if it was set to an 80s hair rock soundtrack. It’d have a completely different feel.

(I’m itching to play a game, and random people are unreliable - if anyone wants to play soon, hit me up with an IM on yahoo messenger (same name).

Is it my imagination, or is that some of the same music from the opening credits sequence from Alien 3?

I wouldn’t mind going head-to-head against another human (I’m thinking the AI is kinda limited in its strategy options), but trying to coordinate a time is gonna be kinda iffy with me.

I’ve found going against random people much less satisfying. It’s a slow game, not the sort you’d want to play with a spaz who’s probably just gonna do something stupid and leave anyway.

I’m usually available about 70% of the time between 6pm-6am (pacific) for whoever might want to play.

OUCH. I beat every scenario decisively, until I got Europe v. Asia. The compute sent all of its subs around to the north and wiped me out (I had sent my fleets around the horn into the Indian Ocean).
