As listed as a requirement for a job I am going for. How would you actually describe “commercial acumen” and how would you know if someone had it?
What kind of commercial? I would think it meant knowledge [read working knowledge] of industrial/commerical Blank …whatever the job is you are seeking. It just means you have a working knowledge of things commercial relating to your job.
In my line of work it would be environmental awareness acumen.
Good business sense?

Sounds to me like the ability to make money or how well you can sell something, or simply how well you do in a commercial environment. It might help if you told us what kind of position you were going for.

Judging from this brochure I would second askeptic’s opinion of “Good Business Sense”
Awareness of the factors and details that make up a business environment.
Stuff like that.
