I’ve been using a more primitive version of Do it Right, Microsoft to defrag my hard drive for years, and it always seemed to work well. Recently I downloaded and installed their new version. It seems to run, but when I use Windows Live Safety Scanner and run a Tune-up Scan, the results always appears to indicate that Dirms hasn’t done anything. I’ve run the new DiRMs defragger several times now, yet the Tune-up Scanner consistently reports that my hard drive is 14% fragmented and needs work. What gives? Is the problem Dirms, or Microsoft?
I’ve tried asking at the DiRMS forum, but I’ve been waiting a week now just to get a registration key.
Any and all help and advice gratefully accepted. Thanks in advance.
