Deities from DnD 3.5E PHB

And lastly, if you’re playing in the Forgotten Realms universe, here is a very nice list of Faerun deities (taken from the City of Arabel persistent world mod for Neverwinter Nights).

Sweet, Reply! That’s a fantastic resource–I’ll be sharing that one around!

Oddly, I’ve never seen that book before. In fact, no one I’ve met seems to have heard of it, and I’ve never seen it in any store. Stealth products?

Yep.

If you’re a d20 publisher, it is tantamount to shutting you down. The rules are just vague enough that they can probably find a reason to do it to anyone they want.

I dunno: I remember when it came out, and a friend of mine bought it, and it’s a fairly decent resource. Again, though, all D&D products default to Greyhawk products (or at least they did pre-Eberron; that may have changed).

While in theory that might be true, in practice I believe they’ve been extremely generous in not shutting folks down who violate the terms of the license. After all, it’s to their benefit to have all the folks out there making D&D accessories. If it weren’t, the license wouldn’t exist.

I figure if anyone is unhappy with the terms of the license, they’re free not to use it. Even if the license required D20 publishers to dance like a monkey whenever a WOTC exec passed, I wouldn’t consider the license unfair: it’s far more generous than any previous license in the gaming world.

Here are a few notes from folks at WOTC on the dearth of materials for Greyhawk. Looks like they’re not planning on doing any more support for Greyhawk, beyond using it as the “baseline” for core D&D materials and the “source of all the IP content in core D&D.”
