If a thread is deleted, could I still access the thread if I had the exact address? Or if it was saved in my favorites, could I still read the thread?

No.
If you really really want a deleted thread, you’ll have to save it locally. Though I have no idea why on EARTH you’d want to do this.

It was just something that I had wondered about for a while.
Much fun was had on the (pretty cut-throat) eBay message boards when it was discovered that all the deleted threads, for time immemorial, were still accessible to the cognescenti (sp?).
Different type of board, tho’ …
