Deleting music on Motorola Droid?

I’m having the hardest time deleting some music from my Motorola Droid (the original version of the phone). There are some inferior versions of some songs (incorrect tags, imperfections in the music, etc.) that I once copied to the phone. Now that I have the cleaned-up versions of these songs on my computer, I want to transfer them over to my phone. No matter how often I try deleting the inferior crap from my phone and synching the playlist with Windows Media Player on my computer, I’m still ending up with the inferior crap in my playlists. How the hell do I clean up my Droid playlists once and for all?

I have the Motorola Droid too, and what I found is, even if you make changes to your music files (adding/deleting/making changes and re-transfering), the phone doesn’t “know” that you’ve made these changes until it rescans the music database. So sometimes when I added a new album it wouldn’t show up in the music player under the artist or album name.

I found an app called SDRescan, which re-scans the memory card and updates the database of files, which should make the changes show up in the music players. I believe there are also some music player apps that have their own rescan function built in (I think “GoneMad” is one of them).
