I own a Windows Phone.
One of the nice features is that it syncs contact info with Facebook.
However, like a lot of people, I’m a little tired and weary of all the information that has accumulated on my Facebook account. If any of you have ever tried to delete items form the Activity Log, you know it can be a pain in the ass. Not to mention slow and tedious.
Hello ZDNet. I finally found a viable solution that works well enough for me in the following article: How to delete every Facebook wall post, wipe your Timeline | ZDNET
Basically it’s like this. If you’re a Firefox user (and it seems like most people on this board are), download iMacro add on. Record a simple macro that clicks on an item, selects delete, then confirms selection. In order for me to use the “Repeat Macro” function, I added “WAIT SECONDS=3” at the end of the macro. I also had to delete a line in the macro that basically said go to URL facebook.com\username.
Anyway, I thought I’d share this tip because it’s of an enormous value to me personally. The macro crashes of course on items that don’t have a delete option (for example if you were tagged in someone else’s post. But it’s still saving me a ton of time.
I’d be interested to know what you guys think, or what improvements you made.
