How does one go about removing windows system files from the built in XP CD burn cache?
For whatever reason windows seems to recognize that these files are protected and refuses to remove them. I have tried exectuing the burn, I even navigated to the cd burn folder and tried using killbox on them to no avail.
MS knowledgebase is a little vague or I am not finding the right article.
Any insight would be helpful.

What is the “built in XP CD burn cache?” If I understand the question, you attempted to copy files, including Windows system files to a CD using the CD recording feature of Windows XP, rather than another program such as Roxio or Nero. In that case, have you read the Microsoft Knowledgebase article 306524, which tells how to “delete CD recorder temporary files?”
Yup, already went there, for whatever reason they just keep coming back.
