Windows (XP) - Claiming some files are obsolete, but uses them anyway...

Hi

Every time I start windows the hardware warning thing tells me that two files, belonging to roxio inc, are obsolete. I moved and renamed them (in case deleting them would cause a problem). I then rebooted and was told that windows needs them. They appear to be part of windows’s built in CD writing ability.

Why is windows therefore telling me they are obsolete? and how do I stop it doing so?

Thanks.

I have the exact same problem on one of my PC’s. I have been unable to fix the problem either. I went so far as to buy a new DVD burner and install it after removing those files, but it woudn’t recongnize the burner until I put them back.
