You have a fascinating definition of “open borders.”
Fuck that attitude.
I can think of a way to get it better than it is now. CLOSE THE FUCKING BORDER@!
Oh no no no, see we’ve done all we can. Nothing else can be done. taps cellphone spies on American citizens searches four-year-old for suspicion of terrorism collects data on citizens’ whereabouts through electronic monitoring of license plates Nope. Nothing.
I’m not accepting apologist excuses made by a propaganda organization like the AP. Fuck them, I trust them about as much as I trust a monkey with a gun (not the doper) .
Some people say I’m a fascinating guy.
You want to close the border to our third largest foreign trading partner?
Is that just the southern border or the northern one too? If both, pray tell, how do you plan on manning 7,500 miles of border? How much do you think that will cost? Will they just stop using the land border and sail in as from Cuba?
There’s a saying, “Show me a 10’ wall and I’ll show you an 11’ ladder.”
Shall we build a wall? I know these guys in Europe who have some experience and have been hurting for work the past 25 years or so.
Cripes. You’re even stupider than D’Anconia.
Wait a minute. Associated Press, in your view, is a “propaganda organization”?

Seconded.
Propaganda is the propagation of a set of ideas. The AP is most definitely a pro-establishment, inside the Beltway, one of the old boys, when reporting on matters DC. When it comes to national matters, AP is a mouthpiece, not a neutral source.
I’m genuinely curious as to how that would be accomplished. If ‘the border’ was a single set of swinging doors like an olde timey saloon, it wouldn’t be a problem. Since that’s not the case, your comment is just stupidity on a stick. Unless we’re being whooshed, of course.
We’re going to need a bigger moat.
Meh. They can swim. Need a dome, too.
At what point do *we *suffer, friend?
Are those people clinical psychologists?
There are too many people who are looking to better their lot by crossing over and too much corporate profit to be lost by shutting the border.
. . . Eh?
Whose mouthpiece?
So the Senate is moving a clean bill through tomorrow morning. I can’t wait to hear how the House mucking it up is still Democratic obstruction.
For what it’s worth, my EMT certification(s) - and recertifications - are administered through the DHS. Indiana DHS handles my Indiana certifications, and my national registry is administered through the national office.
I’ve solved the immigration problem. Make Mexico a state.
All you’ve done there is push the immigration issues further away while making them worse - you replaced ~3000 km of land border with 10,000 km of unsecured shoreline.
Oh, and Mexico doesn’t necessarily want to be the a state, so you probably started a war.
