I have to work tomorrow and I should be working now. I don’t care, I’m watching this roll call. And probably at least some of the rest of the night.
It is so good to see all those genuine smiles!

In my early adulthood, I wouldn’t have expected to hear several states embracing LGBTQ+ people during the role call.
Yeah, I think one person who spoke was a transwoman. I don’t remember her name or the state, but she gave her pronouns.
Oh, look the monopoly guy.
In mine, it wouldn’t even have been thought of.
Don’t tell me that nothing can be changed. That room is full of change.
I feel like I should know this, but what determines how many roll call votes each delegation has to cast for the nominee?
I figured that Wisconsin would use either a Steve Miller song, or a Bodeans song, as both are from the Milwaukee area. But, they went with House of Pain’s “Jump Around,” which has become an anthem at University of Wisconsin football games.
Just as I’ll never believe that the election of 2016 was legitimately decided in favor of Trump, I choose to believe that this was the most genius rope-a-dope of all time, starting with Biden’s “performance” at the debate.
He drew Trump in, running interference for his chosen successor, who actually has the chops to do the job, but was just being kept in the shadows so she couldn’t be tagged by months of unrelenting falsehoods.
Barack Obama is a hero of mine. I’d tear up if I got a chance to meet him. I finally registered as a Democrat to vote for him in the primaries.
But Joe Biden is the greatest president of my lifetime.
No reason you should know this, it’s specific to DNC rules.
Oh man, maybe not 3900…it’s complicated…but still DNC rules.
I’m so glad they invited content creators, this time, as well. Smart move.
Here comes California!
Even as a progressive, I agree, (at least domestically).
Thanks for that link.
Wasn’t that fun?
It’s kind of cool to hear each state’s batch of delegates brag about what makes their state special.
Loved the Cheeseheads from Wisconsin!
We’re a lovable sort.
NPR interviewed one, which I heard in the car.
She was profoundly moved by the fact that she was able to speak, considering her humble “working class” background. It’s funny that her first vote for president is going to be after she speaks at the convention.
That gal is amazing for her age. Such a “W” for the Dems.
Schumer just came out dancing.
