Democrats Promised WMDs - Where Are They?!

<Sorry, I could not resist> ;(

If GWB did say this, then Sen Pat Roberts, Republican chairman of the Senate Committe examining the military foreign policy venture that was the invasion of Iraq, was incorrect. He’d opined that surely the Pres, if he’d’ve only known then what we know now about Iraq, that he wouldnt’ve supported the invasion.
I guess Sen Roberts misunderestimated GWB’s inclination to invad Iraq.

Token White Guy,
If you’d like, I’d be more than happy to carry on a discussion and or debate with you about the recent US invasion of Iraq. I bring a view point that you may not have heard well articulated yet. I’m a congenital conservative, and yet, a GOP Team Leader.
However, you’ve got to bring something to the table other than copy&paste glurge and one liners.
If all you’ve got is glurge and drivebys then that’s all taht you can expect. If to you, these constitue rational discourse among the electorate I’d suggest you try the usenet.

Good luck.

I’d provide it, but you’d never be the same.

Simon, I had no idea. I’m deeply embarassed for all the dreadful things I have said about you, and wish to publicly renounce half of them.

Something to do with the “Y” chromosone?

I have a hereditary, cantankerous, anti-gubmint disposition. I do my best to take my brain medicine as prescribed to ameliorate my condition. The medicine alleviates some of the cantakerousness, at least. The anti-gubmint disposition persists unabated, though.

You don’t really read my posts, do you? I ask you to read my No. 15. Heard in passing, my foot! This, sir, is only a small example of the arrogance of Minnesotans, and especially of Texans masquerading as Minnesotans. I will have satisfaction. I expect to see you at the LeRoy Implement Exchange where we will settle this issue in a grand combine demolition derby on this coming Saturday at noon. No corn heads allowed or unloading augers allowed.

Straight from the horse’s mouth:

Remarks by the President on Intelligence Reform (August 2, 2004)

Bush closed his intelligence reform talk with a dig at “some” who would actually want to use accurate intelligence as a part of their decision making process?
This does not augur well for his initiative to fix what’s broke.

Thank you for that. My imagination often bad enough.

Just a durn minute, pard. I don’t think that’s quite right, you get to take umbrage and choose the weapons both. Don’t you gotta give me the umbrage, then you smack some French guy in the face with a doily?

And I’m damned if I know what a corn head is, and double-damned if I’ll let you tell me. Besides, you got to train more, do more road work before you’re ready to move up in class from Amish to Minnesotan. You’d just be another notch on my casserole dish.

Well, I’ll be dipped. He actually said that. And the scary part is, I don’t think he’s bullshitting, he genuinely believes it. He looks in the mirror and sees a Leader of Men.

Lord help us all.

And “voted for the intelligence”? I think I know what he means to say. I think.

I’m not playing by any Frog rules. I play by Texas rules – I’m offended, I pick the weapon and I get to back shoot you with a shot gun, then I chain you to the back of a pick-up and drag your corpse around the county.

A corn head is the multiple pointy thing that goes on the front of a combine to feed the rows of standing corn into the cutters. A bad thing since it makes the combine demo derbies way too short.

As far as the Amish are concerned (tremendous people and great neighbors, by the way, although few of the Brethren will read it here), we are sending ours in droves to Southeast Minnesota. Cheap land in the Root River Valley. A guy can barely drive from Harmony to Rochester for all the road apples.

Concerning the President’s comments on what he would do if he knew then what he knows today, it is just stunning. There is no arguing with that sort of pig headed self righteousness. How any one can vote for a man with that little understanding is just beyond my limited and provincial comprehension

Are we sure that’s the orifice it’s from?

Straight from the Oval Orifice

Is Token White Guy gonna come back and defend that embarrassingly lame excuse for an OP?

Maybe he can bring his friends, Average White Band.

Been there, posted that, awaiting your rebuttal.

Where’s the confusion?

What are the odds that TWG will actually attempt to engage in a discussion of issues?

A dollar that says he will gets you $20 if he does.

Since you’re so smart, surely you can lay out your premises and argument clearly enough for us dunderheads to see, right?

Certainly you’re capable of that, aren’t you?
You don’t seriously expect these Democrats speak for you, do you?

The confusion appears to be your misunderstanding that extracting anachronistic quotes out of context and posting them in a mendacious manner constitutes a debate.
