Der Trihs, I call B***S***

There. You got something right. Good for you. If you like the feeling I suggest you start, if not limit, your future posts to those three words.

No, I’m quite familiar with the words you’ve used. The way you assemble them and the way that assembly comports with logic is where I, admittedly, get hung up.

You needn’t have bothered. Your entire premise—that tomndebb’s comments will have a “chilling effect” on post reporting—is flawed from the start; it’s unlikely to be the case, and even if it were, so what? I’m quite sure the board would soldier on, and my experience here would be fundamentally unchanged, if there were a reduction in the number of complaints made to moderators in what is, ostensibly, a forum for the free exchange of ideas, even ones we don’t personally share. Does anyone other than you and your liege Shodan really give a shit?

(Well, maybe FinnAgain—but my personal feeling is that a man who requires no fewer than 1,000 words to say “no fair!” gets more enjoyment out of complaining publicly anyway.)

But more importantly, you shouldn’t have bothered because this discussion, like most, exceeds the range of your intellect. Whereas Shodan demonstrates the possession of something like brain (or at least an animal cunning, unfortunately dedicated to partisan nit-pickery and general, all-purpose evil) and FinnAgain seems, based on a breezy reading of the collected topic sentences of his posts, to be a bright guy—you are one one of the board’s most notorious, pathetic, and irredeemable dunces: a right-wing lekatt with marginally better spelling. Watching you grabble with debate is like watching a '66 Opel try to tow a cord of wood up a mountainside on its one remaining cylinder, or a football-helmeted mongoloid attempting neurosurgery, only not as funny and with a considerably lower hope of success. What I’m saying is it’s sad, the kind of thing you can’t help but laugh at, but feel crushing remorse over afterward.

To which said remorse I must now attend, leaving to you what will surely be the snappiest—and most nearly correctly-spelled—final retort of your illustrious Doper career thusfar.

Please refer to advice given in Post 181.

And you think FinnAgain is verbose?!!! He usually has something to say and says it very well. You, well, you’d be the opposite of that.

Again, I direct you to the invaluable advice I gave you in Post 181. All I can add to that is “Drink, horsey, drink.”
