And I’ve interacted with plenty of “liberals” who don’t really give a shit either. Liberals aren’t a single bloc of voters who care about the same things. There were more than enough liberals who voted for Trump or abstained last time because they didn’t like specific social issues
And plenty of people do. We’re called “Conservatives”. We’re both called citizens who care about others, watch politics, and vote for the best candidate.
Well, that’s true of anything to which a name can be applied.
No, see, that’s an oxymoron. If you vote for Trump and call yourself a Liberal, a drone flies up to you and revokes your Liberal Card within 3 minutes.
Yeah, I actually have no issue with principled Conservatives other than simple disagreement on most, but not necessarily all, issues. Trumpists, fascists, white supremacists, and MTGs–not so much.
I will respectfully disagree. In the interest of the country, we need a competent leader right now. Recent global developments, e.g. Ukraine, Taiwan, suggest we need a stronger leader than Biden. I don’t like Trump, and I hope he’s not the GOP nomination in 2024. I guess what I’m saying is that Biden scares me more that Trump does.
How is Trump a more competent or stronger leader than Biden?
Trump is literally the most incompetent leader the USA has had in a century or more. And he never displayed anything that could be considered strength unless you consider kowtowing to authoritarian dictators strong.
I hope Biden and Trump aren’t our choices for 2024. I guess in order to discuss this much further, we would have to know what each of us means by ‘competent and stronger’. Or dangerous.
You’ve cited the original bill. If you want to read the text then read the actual bill. If you think Sweren-Becker got something wrong, then feel free to show me what that was.
