That’s absolutely true. I really meant for this to be a lighthearted thread. I guess it is pretty morbid, and a little callous, but I find that gallows humor is a good way of coping with life’s occasional awfulness. Sorry for any offense this has caused.

Agreed. It is also a coping mechanism in the world of EMS. The reporters who watch the EMT guys pile a traumatic death victim into the ambulance are copin’ as best as they can.
The EMT guys deal, after they drop the patient off at the hospital.
