What the hell is going on with this show? One great first season, and then they repeat plot points over and over again.
Gabi and Carlos have now burned through 3 babies. Bree’s on serial killer #2. Mike and Susan’s breakups/getting back together outnumber the serial killers and babies combined.
What happens next? Baby #4 arrives, but it’s a serial killer. Bree marries him. During the ceremony, several interruptions ensue when Susan and Mike break up and reunite a few times. The baby then kills everyone. Sounds like a good way to end the show.
Last season Bree checked herself into an institution for a while. While there, she met Orson, who was visiting an older patient (whose identity was not established but viewers seem to be assuming it’s his mother). Bree broke out and Orson saw her and kept mum. Shortly thereafter Orson showed up at her door with flowers (having just run over Mike on the way to Bree’s). The season premiere moved us six months into the future so we missed their courtship.
He also threw Bree’s therapist off a bridge but I don’t remember if the therapist died. And didn’t he attempt another? Wasn’t there something about a former fiancee who showed up at Bree’s engagement-to-George party with a tale of poisoned something-or-other? Honestly, it’s becoming a Wisteria Lane tradition, Bree can’t throw an engagement party without someone showing up to accuse the groom of dire happenings.
Okay, a brief explanation of where Danielle was, even if she was off studying with the Dalai Lama, would have been in order. The omission is glaring.
I thought black babies weren’t born black? Don’t they get the color a few days after birth? So it wouldn’t have been immediately known that the fertility clinic screwed up.
My wife said the exact same thing. I think you’re both crazy…but then, I’ve never seen a newborn black baby. But I think you’re confusing eye color with skin color.
Maybe we need Qadgop or some other DoperDoc in here.
I found this link. Scroll down to the section about skin. Now, I don’t know how “reddish-black” looks on a newborn, but the color does darken over time. Would it be readily apparent that the newborn baby was black?
Yeah, I said that while watching the show. But I don’t know if maybe some black infants are born with all of their pigmentation and others aren’t. It seemed funny to me, though.
I helped birth a baby last year (I got to cut the cord!!!) whose mom is black and whose father is white. The baby was a lovely shade of brown when she was born…I’d post the pictures, but I can’t find the disk right now.
I’m starting to think that DH’s writers have run out of ideas, so they do what every writer does when they run out of ideas for their show/book - introduce new characters!
New characters and crazy storylines are fine - but I wish they’d focus more on the members of Wisteria Lane interacting with each other, instead of characters interacting with ‘off-stage’ people (Susan and Ian, Tom/Lynette and Nora, Bree and Orson).
Am I the only one who though Gabby looked like she had aged about 10 years in last week’s episode? Was it the new 'do or something?
Tom and Lynette continue to be my favorite storyline, but it’s very close between Gabby & Carlos. I liked Bree’s storyline before Orson came on the scene. I’ve never really liked the Susan character, but now I’m beginning to actively hate her; she just grates on my nerves.
