Susan angers an important client; Bree gets worn out by Keith’s stamina; Lynnette doesn’t want Tom’s mom to be the nanny.
There was SO much Stupid in last night’s show. It was a Cavalcade of Stupid. (I’ll probably keep watching because frankly it’s a part of my Sunday, and a Sunday without DH just feels wrong. But boy, is this an awful awful awful season!)
I was kind of disappointed that Paul turned out to be the blackmailer. For one thing, what was he doing walking around in a seedy part of town at night? And why would he just start rifling through some crumpled up paper that happened to be lying in the street? I suppose it’s possible that he happened to be driving by earlier when Susan was tearing down the poster, but whether or not that’s the case, they haven’t said.
Personally I thought it would have made more sense to have one of workmen that were putting up the poster be the blackmailer. They knew that Susan didn’t want it known that she was doing this cheesecake stuff, but at the same time they may not necessarily have know the Web address, giving them an excuse to go back and get the poster.
But I guess they had to find some way to work this storyline into Paul’s scheme.
Does anyone have any thoughts on way he’s so desperate to buy Mike and Susan’s house? In fact, it seems like he’s trying to buy up the whole block.
I am guessing he is planning a “Needful Things” scenario where basically he takes germs of grudges and problems between neighbors and causes them to explode into chaos.
He seems to be spending a lot of money in the process. I know they mentioned that during the episode, that he was planning to turn his neighbors against each other. I’m just curious as to why he wants to buy their houses in the process. I’m assuming his plan is to buy the houses, rent back to them and then at some point evict them all. But I’m not seeing how that will pit them against each other yet.
He’ll find some dirt on everyone and use it to control them the way he is with Susan now.
So…how many more episodes before Gabby decides that she and Carlos should have custody of Juanita and Grace?
Maybe his plan is to buy them up so he can knock the neighborhood down. He hates it so much he wants to destroy it. Not really realistic but it’s a soap opera.
I am so sick of Vanessa Williams’ character already. Does she have a story, or is she just going to piss off someone in each episode and get their forgiveness/friendship at the end of it?
Paul Young is really the only story worth continued watching here. I am utterly uninsterested in Bree’s new stud, I have no desire to see Gabby’s selfishness wreck more lives, and I’m cringing at Susan - pure little Susan, who refused to keep her stake in a strip club’s ownership on principle - debasing herself further and further for money.
I’m willing to bet that Paul’s wife is Felicia Tillman’s insider, and is playing with Paul to try and get a confession on the Huber murder.
It wouldn’t be as bad if she wasn’t just re-playing her role on “Ugly Betty.”
Oh, and her husband would have grounds to nullify their divorce settlement once he found out that she’d slept with his attorney. Trivial details, I suppose.
As lovely as these women have aged, with and without plastic surgery, they’re getting a little long in the tooth to be playing sex kittens.
BTW, I think it’s hysterical that Mike didn’t want her to use the money she got from selling the strip club, so she thinks that running an internet soft porn site would be better. It would have been far more believable had they lost their jobs and then blown through that money, and then had to move out of their home. You know, like a lot of Americans these days. Then Susan’s soft porn site would have earned a little sympathy.
Wait a minute…Weren’t Tom’s parents supposed to be looking after Kayla, the Evil Kid From Hell?
No, Kayla’s maternal grandparents were.
Ah. Gotcha. Thanks.
