Desperate Housewives 5/11

Susan’s mother-in-law visits and, I believe, Susan goes into labor; Bree and Edie make war; Gabi and Carlos discover their new tenant’s secret; and Kayla the Evil Child steps it up.

I am actually proud of Bree for not putting up with Edie’s blackmail. I find it really annoying how Edie always gets some dirt to use on her neighbors. This also means that Orson won’t have a leg to stand on for custody.

This was one of my favorite episodes ever. Very dark, but some funny moments. Great scene with Meemaw’s mouth in slomo.

I honestly can’t figure out what Kayla hopes to gain with all her shenanigans.
So she tells the doc that her mom hit her. Then what? Is she hoping that Lynette will be taken into custody, or that all the kids will be placed into foster care, herself included–even though that would take her away from her dad?
Or is she planning to go to the police about the arson and watch the fallout?

Kayla is just a bad seed. She’s just evil, she’s not thinking things through. Lynette has been esp stupid thru out this storyline. If she doesn’t leave Tom soon…

Bree is being ridiculously selfish (even for this show) by keeping Orson from the baby he was willing to pretend to be the father of.

The good news though, Susan gave birth to a 3 month old, clean, premee!

It’s always helpful when you get skip the first gross green runny diapers.

Ha. When I first saw the kid I was startled that he’s about 1 1/2 the size of the baby they had play Bree’s grandson this season. It’s a good thing Susan had her baby a month early, other wise it would have been a 15-pounder!

Is it wrong to hope that Kayla gets hers in the season finale?

Did they have a paternity test done on Kayla or did they just take Tom’s fling’s word for it? I hate evil kid storylines but killing off kids is rather drastic, I’d rather see something happen that causes them to retest the kid’s DNA and find out she isn’t Tom’s and then they can just pass her off on someone else.

Ooh! Maybe she’s Dylan-2’s little sister!

They’ve already used up that storyline on cop-dad and non-daughter. ('Course, you gotta wonder now what happened to the actual daughter — the one with scars on her arm from stitches.)

They reuse storylines all the time, for example, how many pregnant women have fallen down stairs?

I suspect she died in that room with the bullet hole in the floor and that was when whatsername left town in a hurry. Maybe Dylan-2 is a clone of the original? Heck. She might as well be, for all the craziness they get away with. Okay, okay she’s probably a girl they got from an orphanage who was suffering amnesia after a traumatic accident and so whatsername was able to convince her she was Dylan.
